Food: Weekly Groceries
Chispas Farm is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) outlet. CSAs work with local growers to create produce boxes that registered clients pick up in Albuquerque. As a client, you purchase “shares” in advance of the season and are then expected to pick-up produce every week for 20 weeks.
Sign-up should be done well before the season starts in June each year.
Weekly pickups are on the same day each week and located at 229 Saavedra Rd SW, Albuquerque.
The price for the 2023 season was $400 for 20 weeks ($20 worth of produce per week). Price may vary between years.
As an alternative to the weekly produce shares, fresh produce can also be purchased directly from the farm at the Farm Stand, which is open every Saturday from June 1 through October 12 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Families and community members are also welcome at this time to walk the farm, visit the animals, and relax outside.
Chispas Farm also sells fresh produce at the Downtown Growers Farmers Market in Albuquerque on Saturdays. Check the website as the Growers’ Market is not open year-round.
