Staff have undergone disability training to better serve visitors, including autism-specific training to help provide a welcoming and supportive environment.

Spaces designed for minimal sensory experience, which can be places to rest if overstimulated. Signage is provided near areas that may contain flashing lights. Many exhibitions feature dark spaces.

Least crowded days/times: Weekdays (Monday-Thursday) or mornings. Holiday times tend to be crowded.

Discount for New Mexico Residents – Starting at $26 instead of $36. ID required.

Sensory Items and Bags can be requested at no-cost at the Coat Check Desk on the first floor anytime during your visit. Bags can include:

• Sunglasses;
• Noise reduction headsets;
• Fidget toys and/or stress balls;
• Communication cards;
• Unbreakable mirrors.
