Food/Groceries.
Some outlets may have a “shopping” style of food distribution where you can pick what you’d like from the shelves or tables. Mobile distributions provide food based on pre-packed bundles and you are not permitted to select items.
Roadrunner’s EXPO location mobile food distributions involves driving to the pickup location and following directions on a “driving path.” Volunteers may ask if you need assistance with utility costs or housing, or if you are a client. If you are not, they usually request name, family size, and zip code.
If you are a registered client (sign up on the website), you will be able to give just a client number.
Wait in line until you reach the volunteers that handle the boxes of food. You will have to open your trunk or doors in order for volunteers to place food in your car. After receiving food, they will close your trunk and you can drive off.
The wait time can vary between 1-4 hours. It’s a good idea to bring water, blankets, a book, art, or other activity while waiting.
